The Cyclonic Design Difference

Oil and Gas Producers require precise control of high velocity, high volume, and high pressure gases or liquids. Cyclonic Valves incorporate a superior design that insures accurate control and a long safe valve life. Cyclonic Valves feature:

  • In-Line Flow Path: The principles of fluid dynamics tell us in order to maximize flow, it must be kept as straight as possible to minimize pressure drop, erosion and cavitation. The logical conclusion? Design a valve with a straight flow path. All Cyclonic Valves are straight body design.
  • Custom Flow Curves: Whether the traditional two circular holes (tapered standard), pie or comet shaped holes, Cyclonic’s tungsten carbide control discs are available in all commonly used sizes or designed to your specification.  For severe pressure drop applications, the Double Pressure Drop model offers long life for high pressure differential applications by using two control disc sets in one valve.
  • Low Torque: Valve actuation can be a significant part of valve cost. Cyclonic’s exclusive stem drive design requires lower torque (smaller actuators), and provides precise repeatable control.
  • In-Line Maintenance: Cyclonic’s unique “roll-out” design allows servicing with the valve still between pipe flanges.
  • Erosion Detection: How do you know it’s time to replace the wear sleeve without valve removal for inspection? Cyclonic’s exclusive Erosion Detection System (patent pending) provides early warning before valve failure.

Cyclonic Valves  have:

100% Testing: Just to be sure, every Cyclonic valve is tested. Not one from the lot, not random, but every single valve, tested to ANSI B16.34/API 598 standards.
Standard Wear Sleeve: All Cyclonic Control Valves come with a wear sleeve as standard. (This is an extra cost option for some other companies.)
Easy Actuation Changes: Manual now, automated later? No problem. All Cyclonic Control Valves are pre-drilled for simple in-line actuation changes.
